Police Check


ALL VOLUNTEERS IN COACHING POSITIONS REQUIRE A POLICE CHECK.

Note: Youth obtaining volunteer hours are not required to obtain a police check.

 

How to OBTAIN a police check:

1. FILL OUT out our Police Check Letter template available here

  • You must use your legal name 

2. For those who live in an OPP Police Community (ie Thames Centre) Order via this website: https://www.opp.ca/index.php?id=147&lng=en 

  • Type of check: Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) - No Charge / $0
  • Detachment: Middlesex (London) - West
  • Use the templated letter to respond to questions regarding your role

Note: For volunteers who do NOT live in an OPP Police Community (ie. London, Woodstock), you must obtain via your local police service. There may be a fee. We do not reimburse for police checks.

 

TCMS maintains copies of completed police checks on file for 3 years. For those with Police checks dated over a year ago,  Coaches are to submit the following declaration. Declarations are required annually.
